TAIPEI, Taiwan － Hsinchu Science Park Bureau(HSPB) confirmed that Apple has set up a R & D department in Taoyuan Longtan, Taiwan this year, and they are processing the development of new display technologies.
Bloomberg News quoted a source, pointed out that Apple opened a production lab in northern Taiwan, and recruited Taiwanese engineers to develop new display technology.
In this regard, the HSPB confirmed that Apple applied for setting up a R&D department in Longtan Science Park last year and has been granted. The lab located at the same address of previous Qualcomm Panel Manufacturing LTD(Mirasol).
According to the HSPB’s documentation, Apple Taiwan branch was established in April 15 this year.
