Axiomtek has announced the launch of the P1157S-881, a state-of-the-art desktop touch panel computer with options of 4th generation Intel Core, Celeron or Pentium Processors. This rugged touch panel PC with a 15-inch XGA TFT LCD has IP65/NEMA 4 compliant front panel and aluminum housing.
The P1157S-881 is ideally suited for automation and factory applications, including production line monitoring, quality control, intelligent automation, IoT-related and manufacturing operational control. This highly integrated panel PC is designed with ease of customization in mind and focus on reducing time-to-market for systems integrators.
The Axiomtek P1157S-881 is specifically designed to withstand continuous use in harsh climate conditions. It is equipped with an IP65/NEMA 4-rated front panel to protect the system from water spillage, dust and damages from solid foreign objects like dirt. The slim-type touch panel PC has an excellent thermal solution with the patented chassis design, which dissipates heat efficiently in order to enhance system reliability.
Additionally, the P1157S-881 is designed with ease of maintenance in mind. The user can quickly remove the system’s back cover with minimum effort. If larger viewing area is desired, an additional display can be connected via the system’s VGA or HDMI port. This expansion capability will also help enhance worker’s productivity level.

Other useful additional features include dual 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet ports, two DDR3 SO-DIMM for up to 16GB of memory, audio (mic-in and line-out ), four COM ports (3 x RS-232/422/485, 1 x RS-232), four USB 2.0 ports and two USB 3.0 ports as well as two 2.5” or one 3.5” SATA HDD for storage capacity.
