TAIPEI, Taiwan - Eblana Photonics Ltd, a laser diode manufacturer based in Dublin, Ireland, has announced the establishment of Eblana Photonics Taiwan, a wholly owned subsidiary based in Taoyuan City, Taiwan, with a deep focus on providing high volume laser-bar and chip testing for the Telecommunications market. Additional backend services will also be available for customers including bar cleave, chip singulation, visual inspection, die bonding & wire bonding.
Adding considerably to the current backend capacity, the extensive capabilities offered by the Eblana Photonics Taiwan facility will allow the continued expansion of Eblana Photonics into the high volume Telecommunications market, as well as supporting specialised markets including long-wavelength laser-based Gas Sensing and LIDAR, for which Eblana continues to drive cost-disruptive products.
Eblana Photonics Ltd design, fabricate, test and package, compound semiconductor emitters, primarily Distributed Feedback (DFB), Fabrey-Perot (FP) and Superluminescent Diodes (SLD), in the NIR & MIR wavelength range for high-volume and specialty markets, including Industrial Gas Sensing, LIDAR and Telecommunications.
