Further increasing Holtek's presence in the medical instrumentation product application area, Holtek now announces the release of its 2nd generation electronic Blood Pressure Meter dedicated MCU series, the BH66F2260, BH67F2260 and BH67F2270. This series of devices are especially designed for use in applications such as upper-arm type Blood Pressure Meters, wrist type Blood Pressure Meters, health care equipment as well as many others.
This series of MCUs contains a fully integrated analog front end circuit, a necessary requirement for blood pressure measuring applications. They all contain multiple amplifiers with programmable gain and bias features, a band-pass filter, a 12-bit A/D converter and a constant current generator.
Adding to these are integrated Charge Pump and Regulator functions. When compared with the first generation HT45F3W device, these new devices offer improved SNR (signal to noise ratio) and include a new MDU (Multiplication Division Unit) which provide improvements to blood pressure and heart rate operational capability as well as containing a variety of communication interfaces. This added range of integrated and versatile functions greatly enhances their application flexibility and capabilities.
The BH66F2260 device is an I/O type MCU, which is supplied in a 48-pin LQFP package type while the BH67F22x0 device series are LCD type MCUs. The BH67F2260 is supplied in a 64-pin LQFP package type and the BH67F2270 is supplied in package types up to an 80-pin LQFP.
This comprehensive range of Blood Pressure Meter MCUs, with their wide-ranging internal functions and features, are well placed to satisfy the requirements of this expanding health care product area.
