TAIPEI, Taiwan — Samsung Electronics predicted that the shipment of its latest flagship, Galaxy S6 will hit a record high, the company said that they will do their best in keeping up with the strong demand in a light to double the sell of S6.
Allegedly, Samsung has warned that the Galaxy S6 Edge will be in short supply when it goes on sale on April 10, owing to difficulties manufacturing the handset's curved screen.
Samsung’s S6 received mostly positive reviews from smartphone critics, it is believed that this module will sell like a hotcakes. Relatively, the company forecast from January to March of 2015 will be its most profitable season in the year. Analyst explained that one of the reasons is because Samsung used their own chips on S6.
However, Samsung said in a statement, referring the supply of the S6 edge won’t meet the demand with the reason that it’s more difficult to produce the curved screen. In other words, the defect-free rate of S6 edge will poor than the S6.
HMC Investment analyst Greg Roh told media: “Some carriers are switching existing orders to get more of the S6 Edge, and it looks like demand for the model will exceed supply throughout this year.”
“That means average selling prices will fall at a slower rate, which will have a positive impact on Samsung overall.” Greg Roh added.
Moreover, some Analyst predicted that the S6 will sell more than 50 million units in 2015.
