TAIPEI, Taiwan — Wearables will be the driving force of Career Technology, said the company's spokesperson Wang Ji-hui, referring to the company has had planned on wearables' flexible printed circuit board (FPCB) earlier than its competitors that makes them start the limited production of wearables' FPCB on November.
Wang Ji-hui gave a positive reviews on their wearables' FPCB shipment, saying that it will be put into volume production in the first quarter of 2015.
Source said that Career Technology has become the only Taiwanese FPCB supplier of Apple's Apple Watch, other suppliers are from Japan. The company devoted materials in developing and researching in a bid to make progress in the manufacturing process, which resulted in becoming the first supplier to receive orders from Apple.
Moreover, there are six kinds of FPCB based on the Career Technology, namely, single-sided, double-sided, air gap, double access, multilayer flex, and rigid-flex. Each has different features and duties.
