TAIPEI, Taiwan－ According to Taiwan media reported, Quanta may exclusive acquire OEM orders of Apple iWatch; but other sources said that Inventec also has a part of orders. The actual condition will be clear in the second half of this year.
Recent market rumors that Quanta will assemble 65 million units of iWatch in this year, other relevant components companies in Taiwan will also involve, expected to become the first suppliers of iWatch.
For Quanta, it is negligible for OEM revenue to assemble iWatch, but has indicators significance.
Quanta is in transition into a cloud server manufacturers, and well received by customers, while wearable products is also considered one of the main products for Quanta in the future.
