D-Link today announced the immediate availability of the first router in its EXO Series, the AC1900 EXO Wi-Fi Router (DIR-879). With built-in high power amplifiers and 11AC Dual Band Wi-Fi, the DIR-879 delivers fast wireless speeds, improved coverage, and reliable Wi-Fi connectivity to support HD streaming and other demanding applications.

Smart Connect technology automatically assigns wireless clients to the specific wireless band that provides the optimum bandwidth. The advanced QoS engine, with a drag-and-drop UI, provides an easy way to prioritize applications and devices.
In addition, the router features four Gigabit LAN Ethernet ports with WPA or WPA2 security and Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) to ensure network integrity and ease-of-setup while still guaranteeing high-speed wired connectivity.
