TAIPEI, Taiwan — The reason that the wireless charging technology hasn't been taken as the main charging method is because that it lacks support from handset, tablet, and laptop. Lacking the users' experience is the major problem of wireless charging, supply chain hopes that 2015 will be the turning point of wireless charging.
According to a wireless charging chipset firm, the market of wireless charging was worse than expected in the second half of this year, Google Nexus 9, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus don't support wireless charging that resulted in this situation, lacking of wireless charging feature end products.
However, things have gradually been changed lately. American chain hotel Marriott announced that it will team up with Kube Systems to set up the high-end wireless charging stations in 29 Marriott hotels' lobby in the US.
Moreover, many car makers in Japan and Europe plan to introduce wireless charging as one of the car standards, plus having the support from two American telecommunications providers, wireless charging is definitely to be a highlight in 2015.
