[Kaohsiung, Taiwan] ASE K7 plant today be prosecuted to shutdown by Kaohsiung EPA for wasted water illegal discharges, the execute order sent by post, implement when delivered.
Chen Jinde, commissioner of Environmental Protection Bureau of Kaohsiung, held a press conference this afternoon, said ASE K7 factory violation "Water Pollution Control Legislation," Art. 73. 6.7.8, is a serious cases, is compliance with standards for work stoppage.
EPA proposed eight reasons forced ASE K7 to shutdown to improve immediately , suspension oeder will be sent right away, as long as the file received, ASE K7 plant must be closed.
Chen Jinde said ASE can make relevant improvement plan as soon as possible and apply for lifting the ban, EPA will examine again.
As to how long it will remain, Chen Jinde said depends on the improvement measures proposed by ASE.
